Classy Body Art won the Sunmakr Business Grant contest! We are so excited that our business is being recognized!!!
From the press release... (Latham, N.Y.) Will and Kimberly Eck of Classy Body Art, a body piercing studio, located on Lark Street in Albany, N.Y., are the winners of the Sunmark Business Grant contest, a competition for new businesses and entrepreneurs from Sunmark Federal Credit Union, in partnership with the Albany-Colonie Regional Chamber.
“From a great field of entries, Classy Body Art rose to the top of the list,” said Sunmark Executive Vice President Frank DeGraw, who participated on the judging panel. “Will and Kimberly’s business plan was in great shape and showed a lot of initiative. Their emphasis on health and safety measures and their efforts in working with and meeting the standards set forward by the Association of Professional Piercers (APP) impressed the judges.”
Classy Body Art is dedicated to providing safe, professional piercing services and high-quality jewelry. Will Eck has worked in the piercing industry for more than five years and has received training from the APP, along with several related certificates for medical professionals. Also, Classy Body Art exclusively uses high quality, internally-threaded and threadless jewelry that meets APP standards.
The Ecks will receive a seat in the Albany-Colonie Regional Chamber’s Entrepreneur Boot Camp (beginning January 2014) and $1,000 in a Sunmark business savings account.
